Shanghai Shangcai Testermachine Co., Ltd. (SCTMC) was established in 2005, who is a manufacturer specializing in the full process production of metallographic sampling equipment and hardness testers, integrating independent research and development, processing and assembly, sales, and service. Our company specializes in producing cutting machines, mounting press, grinding and polishing machines, and Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers hardness testers, along with the supply of metallographic consumables and spare parts.
SCTMC has passed ISO9001-2015 international quality management system and CE certifications. We are a member of metallurgical branch and mechanics branch of National Technical Committee of Standardization of Steel, and also one of the drafting unit of National Standards of Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers hardness test. Draft standards: GB/T230.1-2018, GB/T230.2-2022, GB/T231.1-2018, GB/T231.2-2022, GBT4340.1-2024, GBT4340.2-2025. (Equivalent to ISO6506, ISO6507, ISO6508)
SCTMC is located in the Lingang New Area of Shanghai Free Trade Zone, with a 13000M2 production base and a brand new standard industrial plant. We have a stable R&D team of over ten years, independent design and development capabilities, and numerous core technology patents for our products. We have a complete machining workshop equipped with over 50 numerical control machine tools and other processing equipment, as well as cutting-edge equipment such as Mazak machine tools and Zeiss coordinate system which have been put into production and inspection. With nearly 80 professional technical workers and abundant after-sales force, we have complete independent control over manufacturing time and quality.

2001
Shanghai Metallurgical Equipment Co., Ltd. (SMEC) was established, which was the first privately-owned company in China.
2004
Passed ISO9001 quality management system certification.
2005
Shanghai Shangcai Testermachine Co., Ltd. (SCTMC) was established.
2008
The factory area was expanded to 1.3 acres.
2011
SCTMC independently developed the first fully automatic Vickers hardness tester, and "XHB-3000+CCD Image Automatic Measurement Brinell Hardness Tester" was awarded the National Innovation Fund.
2012
SCTMC participated in drafting the national standard GBT4340.2-2012. SCTMC established the foreign trade department.
2015
SCTMC developed 6 utility model patents for hardness testers, among which the Brinell three indenters technology was exclusively owned in China.
2016
SMEC sponsored the "National College Student Metallographic Skills Competition" at Tsinghua University and became a special sponsor of the competition every year thereafter.
2017
SCTMC was awarded the title of "Shanghai High Tech Enterprise".
2018
SCTMC participated in drafting the national standards GB/T 230.1-2018 and GB/T 231.1-2018. SCTMC hosted the standard approval meeting of the Metallographic Branch of the Steel Standards Committee.
2019
TPS management system was introduced to initiate a refined production mode. High-precision equipment such as Japanese Mazak machine tools and German Zeiss coordinate measuring instruments were purchased. In 2019, SCTMC launched the research and development of a fully automatic unmanned Vickers hardness testing system.
2020
SMEC successfully developed a multi-cylinder automatic mounting machine, ushering in the era of large-scale sample mounting. SCTMC developed a fully automatic unmanned Rockwell hardness testing system, completely freeing up labor.
2023
The integrated automatic grinding and polishing machine was delivered to Zhanjiang Baosteel, ushering in the era of batch automatic sample grinding. SCTMC promoted production management software and gradually achieve informatization.
